Gray’s Mills (Corn and Flour) are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Edinburghshire 1855, vi) and the revised 1885 edition (Edinburghshire 1885, vi. By the publication of the revised 2nd edition of the OS 25-inch map (Edinburghshire 1895, III.14) it is annotated as ‘Slateford Mill (Paper)’. The farmstead was located at c. NT 2181 7084.
