Archaeology Notes

NT27SE 440 250 721

Situated in the grounds of Bruntsfield House (NT27SE 75, at NT 2509 7218) and about 100 yards from it. Entrance on N; straight stone passage 8ft long leads to 10ft deep cup with a domed ceiling. Height is c. 18ft. Earthen mound is artificial and measures some 15ft (sic) long and 67 yards around the base.
