OS 1:10000 map (1973)

A rectangular late 17th century dovecot, still in use, stands about 100 yds E of Liberton House. It is 21'11" x 19'7" and entered by a door in the centre of the S wall above which is a circular light 14" in diameter. The doves enter by two rows of ten holes in a dormer window in the sloping slated roof. The walls are harled and the gables crow-stepped. There are 1,000 nest holes.
