(NT 2189 4284) Cairn (NR)

OS 6" map (1965)

This cairn is situated on a subsidiary ridge 125ft W of the summit of White Meldon, and within fort NT24SW 12. Originally it measured 45 ft in diameter and was bounded by a kerb of large boulders, several of which still survive in situ. Now, however, the mass of stones composing the body of the cairn is greatly spread and is reduced to a height of 3ft.
