Archaeology Notes

NT18NE 6 c. 168 859.

Fasti notes that a chapel, dedicated to St Martin and belonging to Incholm Abbey, was situated near Bouprie (Bouprie Banks: NT 176 858). The Ordnance Survey Name Book (ONB) compiler, who could not find any remains or obtain any further information, was informed that a chapel had stood in the vicinity of Chapel farm (NT 168 859).
