Archaeology Notes

NC50SE 21 c. 569 018.

At Achany (NC 569 018) near the road are two circles composed of stone and earth, and about 40 feet in diameter. Close to one of them is a tumulus. (? NC50SE 26).

J M Joass 1865.

These enclosures were not located. In the area centred on NC 5744 0228 are several circular features but they appear to be quarried mounds of morainic origin.

Visited by OS (R D L) 28 June 1963.

No change to previous field report.

Visited by OS (J M) 1 September 1976.
