Activities

Watching Brief (30 January 2012)

An archaeologically monitored topsoil strip of an area within the footprint of a new building development at the Scottish Agricultural & Rural Development Centre (SARDC), The Rural Centre, Ingliston.

The monitored area consisted of an area of hard standing between two existing buildings. Due to precautions in preventing the undermining of existing foundations and avoiding overhead and underground services, the area stripped measured 5.5 m by 4 m. Neither significant archaeological features nor artefacts were encountered during the topsoil strip.
