The town of Kirkliston, besides the ancient church, has the Court Hall and other houses in it.

The parish minister states that the parish school is erected on the site of the old Town House, which was anciently the Bailie Court House of the bishops of St Andrews, and in which were held the old manorial courts, and the town's business transacted. Very little is known about it in the locality.
