NT 153 684: Headland Archaeology Ltd was commissioned to undertake a desk based assessment and walkover survey of a proposed extension to the east golf course at Dalmahoy Country Club. The area for development lies largely within the Muir O’ Dean Wood, and contains a standing stone, an inscribed stone, an earthen bank and an area of possible rig and furrow cultivation. The nature of the development is not such that it will necessarily detract significantly from the value of these monuments but a programme of protection and long term curation will be needed to ensure their protection.

Reports to be lodged with Edinburgh SMR and the NMRS.

Sponsor: Cliff Walsingham & Company.
