(NT 1240 4348) Enclosure (NR)

OS 6" map (1968)

This ring enclosure measures 30' in diameter within a 7' thick bank which has a 3' wide gap on the N.

RCAHMS 1967, visited 1962

This is similar to sheepfolds in the area. The break on the N appears to be the result of the collapse of part of the bank.

Surveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (WDJ) 17 July 1964 and (SFS) 4 November 1974
