OS 6" map, (1967).
A scooped homestead on Hammer Knowe has been heavily denuded by stone robbing and ploughing. It measures 75ft by 70ft within a wall which is now represented for the most part by mere scarps. The entrance, in the E, leads into a court which is bordered on the N by a house-platform measuring 28ft in width. A second platform of similar size lies on the W side of the court.

The site is as described by RCAHMS, but much of the internal features are obscured by bracken.
