Early 19th century, Georgian style. The occupied house lies on the south west side of Blackness village, beside the B903. It is a large stone house within gardens overlooking the Firth of Forth.

Site recorded by GUARD during the Coastal Assessment Survey for Historic Scotland, 'The Firth of Forth from Dunbar to the Coast of Fife' 18th February 1996..
