(NT 0789 5219) Covenanter's Grave (NR)

OS 6" map (1912)

This tombstone, near the summit of Black Law, bears the following inscription: 'Sacred to the memory of a Covenanter who fought and was wounded at Rullion Green, Nov 28th 1666, and was buried here by Adam Sanderson of Blackhill.' The tombstone was erected by Mr Sanderson of Dykefoot about 20 years ago.

This grave is marked by a modern tombstone with the inscription as stated above.
