Archaeology Notes

NT04NE 11 06 46.

A number of cairns were removed about 40 years ago (i.e.about 1824) at Borland Mill. In one of them was a stone cist containing two circular ornaments of highly polished jet about 3 inches diameter. In another was found a stone axe.

No further information. No siting found for Borland Mill, nor traces of any cairns on Borland Hill.
