Archaeology Notes

This bridge spans the Tweed at the point where it narrows to flow through Carlow's Linn, 400m SW of Tweedsmuir Church. It is dated 1783, and although partially reconstructed, the single arch of rubble masonry must largely be of late 18th century date.

RCAHMS 1967, visited 1959

This bridge carries an unclassified public road across the upper reaches of the River Tweed to the W of Tweedsmuir school.
