(Name: NT 0570 1386) Tweed's Cross (NR) (Site of)

OS 6" map, 2nd series, (1911)

(Centred NT 0570 1394) This cross, formerly situated about 35 chains ENE of Flecket Hill, was erected before the Reformation to guide people from one monastery to another. It was later used as a 'divisional landmark'. There are no remains to be seen.

A Pennecuik 1715; Name Book 1857.

No trace of this cross remains.

Visited by OS (W D J) 14 September 1959.
