NS99NW 8 913 975.

(Area: NS 913 975) Not far from the fort of Castle Craig and on the same site where Castle Mills dwelling-house now stands, an old castle stood at the beginning of the 19th century.

W Gibson 1883.

There is no local knowledge of the house called Castle Mills, nor of a castle in this area.
