An archaeological assessment and watching brief were undertaken along the route of the Longannet pipeline in May 1996. The desk-based assessment confirmed a series of sites within a 400m wide corridor, including:

NS 9967 8759 Blairhall House (Listed Building).

Architecture Notes

This late 17th century Laird's house lay derelict in 1979 when RCAHMS carried out an extensive survey with photographs, measured drawings and a record sheet. By the late 1980's the house had been fully restored, and in the mid 1990's an additional East wing (replacing the earlier wing demolished in the mid 19th century) was built.
