Wairdlaw Limekilns, 1827
Two draw kilns, with barrel-vaulted access tunnel; built of whinstone with sandstone dressings, 50ft long and 27ft high.

(Location cited as NS 996 730). Wairdlaw Limekilns, early 19th century. A remarkable complete range of two single-draw kilns with semicircular-arched draw holes. To the north are the undisturbed remains of the quarry and mine.

An 'Old Limekiln' is depicted on the 1st edition of the 6-inch map (Linlithgowshire, 1856, sheet 5) some 60m SSW of Wardlaw (now Wairdlaw).
