Archaeology Notes

NS97SE 36 c. 98 71.

A stone implement roughly ground into the form of an axe, of buff sandstone, facetted at sides and butt, which was found near the cairn on Cairnpapple, was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1971 (Accession no: EP 191).

Two flint flakes, from ploughed fields S of the henge, were donated in 1971 (Accession nos: EP 192-3).
