(NS 8357 9238) Polmaise: A plain three-storeyed mansion; its erection was started in 1691, additions having been made to it since that time. The building is shown roofless on OS 6" 1958, and the RCAHMS mention that Old Polmaise House has been demolished.

The house was located north-west of Fallin, c 100m from the rivers edge. The house has been demolished although it is possible to see an outline of a rectangular structure in the grass. The area is strewn with fragments of stone and brickwork. The field in which the building is located produced a number of pieces of possibly worked flint.
