Bronze figure of Mercury 4 1/2" high, found in ploughing before 1885, on Throsk Farm, St Ninians. In National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS).

Information from A S Robertson, 1951.

'Simply termed "Roman Figure" in the Museum of Antiquities' (FR 223).

Visited by OS (JLD), 19 May 1953.

Field enquiries revealed that Throsk Farm is now named Mains of Throsk. No further information was obtained concerning the bronze figure of Mercury. (Name: Mains of Throsk at NS 857 910).
