Archaeology Notes

HU27NE 19 c. 283 771.

A stone axe, measuring 12 3/4 by 3 7/8 by 1 5/8 ins from Northmavine glebe was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1925 by Alexander Walker, Aberdeen (Accession no: AF 673). (Glebe not located, though Northmavine parish church and manse are in Hillswick, at HU 283 771 and HU 281 768 respectively.)
