Archaeology Notes

NS89NE 18 88 97.

Several standing stones formerly stood near Alva Church. One was dug up in a field adjacent to the glebe and a human jaw-bone found beneath it. Another stood in a neighbouring enclosure with an illegible inscription on it (see NS89NE 7).
