NS 851 809. Ring-ditches, Wester Carmuirs: visible on RCAHMS air photographs, taken in 1978.
AP's show one definite and two probable ring ditch crop marks along the north side of the A803 Glasgow Road.
'A' NS 8514 8096 is clearly defined and measures c11m in diameter with an entrance break in the south east and no internal markings.
'B'-NS 8505 8096 and 'C':- NS 8504 8095 do not show clearly, but both appear to be 10m in diameter with no evident entrance breaks or internal markings.
There is no surface trace of any of these ring-ditches in a gently undulating stony field under plough at c30m OD. No significant finds were made.
