Archaeology Notes

Also known as Mary Well: a holy well dedicated to the Virgin Mary. A strong spring of clear water now led into a horse-trough beside the road from Nemphlar to Easttown of Nemphlar. The spring was moved to the lower side of the road to prevent damage by flooding.

T Reid 1922; R Morris and F Morris 1982
