Photograph Album No 204 - Un-named Album Contains many unidentified photographs with an article from Motor World, February 9th 1911 recording the prize-winning flight of a Scottish built monoplane by Stirling Aviator, Mr. RH Barnwell of Grampian Engineering & Motors Ltd., Causewayhead. He flew over a mile in one minute, two and two fifths seconds. Full technical details and a description of the flight are given. • There is also a photograph of a memorial to Flying Officer JN Steyn DFC, Pilot Officer WE Drew, Sgt J. Emery, Sgt. CM Mitchell and Sgt. NA Thompsett all of the RAF. This memorial is in Assynt Parish Church, Inchnadamph and records that they were killed when their RAF Anson N9857 crashed on Ben More on 13 April 1944. Batch Level
