Archaeology Notes

NS84SE 55 8812 4361.

Vere House, demolished in 1979, was of 18th century date, though parts, including a vaulted kitchen, appeared to date back to the 17th century and probably belonged to a town house built by Lord Willoughby c.1620.

(For excavation here, see NS84SE 68).
