Archaeology Notes

NC21SE 6 2615 1102.

(NC 2615 1102) An unchambered cairn, 6m in diameter, on the edge of Loch Borralan.

J M Howell 1976, No. 42 (see archive MS/120/1)

An amorphous, heather and turf-covered swelling 0.2m high. Some stone is apparent in it, but stone occurs elsewhere in the immediate vicinity. There is no evidence of a kerb or cist, and on balance it is doubtful whether the remains are those of a cairn.

Visited by OS (N K B) 23 June 1980.

Activities

Field Visit (24 November 2009)
