Archaeology Notes

NS77NW 38.1 729 787

The ice-house, built into the W bank of the Colzium Burn, was marked on a 19th century OS map; little was visible above ground. The ice chamber was brick lined and vaulted with a central hatch, with an entrance via a pedimented doorway. The site is now open to the public.

H B Millar 1977.
