An archaeological evaluation, consisting of a desk-based assessment and field visit, was undertaken as part of the Environmental Statement for the proposed construction of a gas pipeline from the existing Glenmavis Offtake Station to the proposed site of Gartcosh Power Station. The majority of the sites either relate to 19th/20th-century agricultural and industrial activity. The following site was among those recorded:
