Archaeology Notes

NS69SE 14 6879 9187.

At NS 6879 9187, surmounting the hill 'Carleatheran', is a cairn 18.0m in diameter and about 1.7 m high. One or two stones on the E and S suggest the possibility of a kerb. The centre is built over with modern stone shelters and an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar.

Visited by OS (AA) 5 August 1981.
