NS69NE 15 c. 68 99.

A (probably medieval) (J K Thomson, curator, Smith Institute) vase or water bottle of rough clay, wheel turned but unfired, with its neck damaged, was ploughed up on Spittalton Farm, Thornhill, and presented to the Smith Institute Museum by John Kay of Spittalton (Accession no.1897 Catalogue no.8).
