Field Visit (August 1976)
NS 657 561. Cairn, Long Calderwood. A stony mound, measuring 11m by 6m and 0.5m high, situated at the junction of two plantations immediately N of Calderwood Housing Estate, is all that remains of a round cairn recorded by Wilson in 1936 (i, 358-9). Nothing can now be seen of a cist which was visible at that time.

The remains of a probable cairn measuring about 17.5m in diameter by up to 1m in height around the N half; elsewhere the cairn has been reduced to a maximum height of 0.6m.
