Archaeology Notes

NS65NE 2 c. 65 59.

A collared cinerary urn, 10" high, from Cambuslang (NS 65 59) which was donated to the Andersonian University in 1831, is now in the People's Palace Museum, Glasgow.

Field investigation produced no information on the exact find spot of this urn.

J Abercromby 1907; A Morrison 1968.

This cinerary urn, which contained cremated bones and charcoal when found, is still in the Old Glasgow Museum (Accession no: '02-73js).
