At NC 0536 0479, situated on a slight rise near a stream, is a hut circle, overall diameter 9.0m. It has an almost complete inner ring of stones set on edge and the northern segment of an outer ring. The space between them is filled with earth and small stones. It has an entrance in the SE and a slight raised platform against the inner wall on the N. There is no trace of associated fields or enclosures in the vicinity, which is an area of low-lying peaty ground.

OS 1:10,000 map, (1970)

An unusually well-preserved hut circle measuring 6.8m in diameter within a wall varying in thickness from 1.3m to 1.5m. The inner and outer wall faces of contiguous slabs on edge have been subject to little disturbance but the entrance in the SE has been mutilated. The "platform" noted by OS field surveyor (G H P) is due to tumble.

Visited by OS (J M) 11 July 1974.
