NS57SW 25 c. 54 72.
An intaglio of chalcedony, bearing the figure of a woman, facing right, holding a plate in the right hand, and an olive branch in the left; to the left is an altar with a fire on it, was found by Andrew MacDougall, when digging in a garden on the line of the Roman Wall at Bearsden (NS 54 72). It was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) by L McL Mann in 1937 (Accession no: FR 489). (Possibly the same intaglio found within the site of Bearsden fort (NS57SW 3.)
