A denarius of Hadrian (AD 117-38) was found in the garden of Mrs Brownlie of "Ardencraig", Thorn Drive, Bearsden, in May 1938.

G Macdonald 1939.

This coin, now in the Hunterian Museum, Glasgow, was found at NS 5373 7244.
