Opened 01/03/1886 (Cathcart District Railway); electrified 29/05/1962.

Mount Florida Station, built c. 1886 for the Cathcart District Rly. An island-platform station in a deep cutting, with access at both ends by footbridge. The wooden platform building is similar to that at Queens Park (NS56SE 940).

This intermediate station on the Cathcart Circle (suburban) line of the former Caledonian Rly was opened (by the Cathcart District Rly) on 1 March 1886. It remains in regular use by passenger traffic; the line has been electrified.
