A late 18th century 2-storeyed building is described as being owned by a Thomas Pollock in the early 18th century. This was, presumably, an earlier structure.

Watching Brief (11 May 2023 - 7 June 2023)

NS 51286 56568 Archaeological monitoring of all ground breaking work within the development of Balgray House. Results show the land has undergone landscaping efforts of a long period with redeposited natural and made ground throughout site. No significant archaeological features were observed.
