An oval mound, 21m E-W by 15m and 2m to 3m high is on the NE corner
of a steep-sided ridge.

Moot Hill: The mound is described in a charter of 1371. The mound, with a stone erected on top, still visible but on NE side, was to be retained by Lord Maxwell for holding courts, in a gift of the surrounding land to Nether Pollock.
