Archaeology Notes

NS55NE 39 5765 5856.

Over 100 sherds of medieval pottery, including a strap handle and rim fragments, were found in the roots of a fallen treen at Netherlee Park in January 1985. The site is a steep-sided motte-like knoll. The pottery is at present in Rutherglen Museum.
