(NS 4788 7398) Mound (NAT)

OS 1:10000 map (1981)

This heather-covered, apparently earthen, oval mound measures 6.5m by 5.5m and 0.4m high. There is much evidence of rabbit burrows. There is no sign of a ditch surrounding the mound but the general impression gained from its relationship with a surrounding area of flat moorland is that it is artifical.

Visited by OS (WDJ) 21 March 1951
