Cushion mace-head 'found in 1904 by Mr George Macleod at Knock, on top of a gravel bed under 5ft of peat'. Length 5.15 ins (13.1cm) breadth 1.65 ins (4.2cm) tapering slightly towards sub-rounded ends, maxinum thickness 1.25ins (3.2cm) also tapering. 'The haft-hole is nearer the narrower end of 3/4 in., has parallel sides and is 0.7 ins (1.7cm) in diameter; the drilling is technically perfect.'
In the School Museum of the Nicholson Institute, Stornoway; exhibited on loan at Society of Antiquities of Scotland, 14 May 1944.

This mace-head, a remarkably fine specimen, is still in the Nicolson Institute, where it is labelled found 'at Knock Point' (NB 49 31).
