This is a natural mound.

Visited by OS (JLD) 14 August 1956

Probably natural. The remains of a low-lying, turf-covered mound, the greater part of which has been eroded by the Fenwick Water. In section, its composition is of gravel and it is not possible to estimate its former shape or size.

Site recorded during an avoidance oriented evaluation of the proposed upgrading of the A77 to motorway standard from Fenwick in Kilmarnock and Loudoun District to Malletsheugh in Eastwood District.
