OS 25" map (1963)
Dalcairnie Cairn: A large cairn about 1ft above the surface and nearly 120ft in diameter.
Name Book 1856
On the top of Wee Cairn Hill at a height of 800ft OD are the remains of a cairn. It consists of a greatly disturbed mound of turf-covered stones measuring 23.0m in diameter, with a maximum height of 0.9m.
Surveyed at 1:2500 (position at NS 4630 0424 on earlier editions of OS plans is erroneous).
Visited by OS (WDJ) 5 November 1959
The only cairn on this hill is that described above. The cairn is erroneously published on 1:10,000 sheet at NS 4628 0420. The old 25" published position is correct.
Resurveyed at 1:10,000.

This cairn is situated on the E shoulder of Wee Cairn Hill, 380m WSW of Dalcairnie farmhouse; it measures about 25m in diameter, but quarrying has reduced it to a maximum height of only 0.8m.
