The tower of Blairhennechan (now Drumhead) was mentioned as a gift in 1552.

The older part, probably a small L-shaped farmhouse, of the present building bears a date-stone, inscribed 1700, on the east wall. The southern wing was added about 1850. There are no extant remains of a tower (Mr J C Holmes, architect and owner, Drumhead).

NS 3385 7924 A watching brief was conducted between March and August 2003 of foundation trenches for a conservatory, new drain trenches and a septic tank. No archaeological discoveries earlier than the 19th century were made.
