An Early Bronze Age axe (Coles' type I), found on Ladyland estate (Ladyland: NS 322 578) was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1886 by R W Cochran-Patrick (Accession no: DC 53). It measures 5 1/2 ins in length by 2 3/4 ins in greatest width, with slight flanges and a stop ridge.

(Flanged axe of Bandon type). Single find. Flanged axe, corroded, green, butt hammered (modern?). Length 135mm, butt 25mm, cutting edge 73mm, weight 385 gms.
