Archaeology Notes

NS34SE 9 38469 44946

(NS 3847 4494) Kennox is a two-storeyed Regency building erected about 1820; an earlier, lower gabled wing extends to the rear, dated 1762 on the gable skew. The gateway at NS 3838 4484 is also listed 'A'.

SDD List 1962

Kennox has recently been restored is in excellent repair. The N range of the house is of many periods and date stones of 1831 and 1911 indicate additions or major alterations.
