NS34NE 3 359 475.

Some fifty years ago (c.1845) when peats were being cast from Auchentibber Moss (name: NS 359 475), a straight line of wooden stakes was discovered under the peat, which was perhaps 10 or 12ft thick.

Auchentiber Moss (OS spelling) remains a level, undrained bog some 1 1/2 km in extent. It shows no significant surface features.
